Q: Are you open rain or shine? 

A: Yes, we will stay open even if it rains. If severe weather occurs and we are forced to cancel you will be notified via email. 

Q: Where do I park? 

A: The only open entrance on event evenings is the west entrance off Battle Point Drive NE. Parking attendants will be on-site helping direct traffic.

Q: Can I arrive early? 

A: Absolutely! Join us on “Boo Boulevard” for live music, games, crafts, and more. You will be able to come back and enjoy these after your ride as well, but please note that Boo Boulevard closes promptly at 9:00p.

Q: Is the ride ADA friendly? 

A: Yes, please do alert us if you or someone in your group will need any specialty accommodations and our team will do everything we can to meet your needs.  

Q: Can I walk/bike/drive the route myself? 

A: No, for the safety of everyone involved, the only way to participate in the Haunted Hayride is to purchase a ticket for each rider and experience the fun on the hay wagon. The park is entirely closed to all other users during the event, including dog-walkers, evening joggers, etc.  

Q: How scary is it? 

A: Our aim is to keep the Haunted Hayride spooky not scary. We want it to be fun for guests of all ages. Ultimately though, scariness levels are subjective, and we’ve seen riders of similar ages have varying responses.  

Q: Can children ride alone? 

A: Ages 13 and under must have a parent or guardian ride with them. Both the minor and the parent or guardian must have a ticket.  

Q: Can I bring my pet? 

A: While we love our furry-friends, there is not room on the hayrides to accommodate them.

Service animals (any dog individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability) when accompanying an individual with a disability, may go wherever visitors are allowed. Please notify us at registration if you will be bringing a service animal. 

Q: How long is the hayride? 

A: The hayride lasts about 25-30 minutes.

Q: What’s your refund policy? 

A: Events canceled by the Park District will receive a full refund. Unless a doctor’s note is received, the following refund policy applies: 

Requests made seven days or more prior to the first day of the Haunted Hayride will receive a full refund, less a $10 service charge. No refunds will be granted if requests are received less than seven days before the start of the event. 

Some exceptions may be made for documented injury or illness. Please call us at (206) 842-2302. 

Special Events Lost & Found

Any items of value (undamaged, reusable, etc.) found by Park staff shall be taken to the Lande Administrative Building for a maximum of three weeks. After which, they shall be bagged up and taken to a local donation center.
