Swim Testing
Swim License Test
Anyone 14 years and under must complete and pass the swim license test to enter the pool’s deep end.
Children 5 and 6 years of age may not test during regular testing hours. You must make an appointment with the Aquatic Administrator via email – jenetter@biparks.org . Children 5 or 6 must accomplish all test requirements and show exceptional endurance/maturity in water safety to pass. Passing does not exempt parents/guardians from being in the water with their children. Children under the age of 5 may not test. Children 6 and under must have their parent or legal guardian present for the test duration and swim.
Swim license tests are typically held on Saturday and Sunday at 12:15p and 1:15p.
Please complete the Swimming License Form below.
Lifejacket Confidence Test
A lifejacket proficiency license will be issued upon the successful completion of the lifejacket confidence test. The lifejacket proficiency license must be presented to instructors at all outdoor water activities including paddling, kayaking, boating and sailing. Children who have passed the swim license test are not required to take the lifejacket confidence test.
Lifejacket confidence tests are typically held on Friday evenings at 5:00p and Sunday afternoons at 2:45p.
