What's Happening

Hello everyone,

I hope you're enjoying everything summer has to offer on Bainbridge Island. From camps and classes to concerts, movies, and time spent in our parks, this is one of the busiest and most rewarding times of the year for our team.

Behind the scenes, our staff have been working incredibly hard to make it all happen. Our recreation team is busy leading camps, classes, and special events. The parks crew is hard at work maintaining fields, trails, playgrounds, and park spaces to keep them clean, safe, and ready for everyone to enjoy. It takes a tremendous team effort to deliver the quality experiences our community expects, and I'm grateful for the dedication our staff brings every day.

Summer evenings continue to offer some of my favorite community traditions. Whether you're meeting friends for a Terry's Sounds of Summer concert or enjoying a movie under the stars, I encourage you to join us. Be sure to check out our concerts and movies schedule and find an event that fits your summer plans.

There's also plenty happening beyond our seasonal programming. Work continues on several projects across the Park District, and I encourage you to visit our Current Projects page to stay informed about improvements and what's coming next.

While summer activities are in full swing, we're also looking ahead. Budget season is underway, and our management team is working diligently to prepare for the coming year. I'm also pleased to share that we recently received another clean audit — a reflection of our commitment to responsible financial stewardship and accountability to our community.

If you haven't signed up for a summer class, camp, or activity yet, there's still time. Many programs still have openings, and we would love to help you find something that's a great fit for you.
