Aquatics Center
The Bainbridge Island Aquatics Center, is located at 8521 Madison Avenue, just north of High School Road on Madison Avenue. Google Map
This two-pool facility is THE place for fun!
The Don Nakata Memorial Pool was built in 2001, and includes a 180' water slide, lazy river, sloped beach entry and play area, one and three meter diving board area, tot pool, spa, and 4-lane lap area.
The attached Ray Williamson pool is a 25-yard, six-lane facility with a one-meter board and a sauna.The pool was built in 1970 as an outdoor facility and a roof was added in 1977.

Cleaner, Greener
We recently installed an advanced water treatment system on the Don Nakata pool. The Hanovia UV system utilizes powerful light technology designed to destroy potential bacteria, viruses, micro-organisms and chloramines. Within a week of operation, the pool chloramines were reduced in half and today the unpleasant odors caused by chloramines have nearly been eliminated. A variety of swimming options are offered at different times, so make sure to check out the schedule and descriptions below!
SWIM LICENSE PROGRAM
Anyone 14 years and under must complete and pass the swim license test in order to go into the deep end of the pool. Children 6 and under must have their parent or legal guardian present for the duration of the test and swim. Please contact the front desk for more info. (206) 842-2302 ext 0.

SWIM PASSES. Season Passes are good for unlimited swimming during all of our general swim hours. Season passes are non-transferable, non-refundable and have no guest privileges. Family passes are good for a household. Season pass holders do not get a discount on classes. Season passes cost an additional $5 for off-island residents. 10 and 20 Times Passes are available for general swims, exercise classes and for lockers. Programs and Classes
The aquatics program offers a wide range of classes for all ages including swimming, diving, water exercise, sailing, kayaking, scuba, lifeguard training and more. Visit our Programs section for all the latest info on classes offered.
Swirl Pool
The Swirl Pool or Spa is kept at 101-103 degrees F. It is open to those 15 and older when ever there is a scheduled Lap, Family, or Open Swim. Those who are pregnant or suffer from a medical condition, which makes immersion in hot water dangerous, are not permitted to use the spa.

Tot Pool
The Pool is kept at 86 degrees F and is open to those 6 and younger. Older people may use the tot pool if they are not disruptive and it's not too crowded. The tot pool is open during Family and Open Swims. Back to top
Water Slide
The water slide is open intermittently during Open Swims. Those less than 7 yrs and less than 46” tall must go down with an adult.
Lazy River
The lazy river is turned on for all Open & Family swims for patrons to go with the current. Mon-Fri 9:00-10:00a, MWF12:00-1:00p and Sat 10:00-11:00a. The river will be open for unstructured “against the current” exercise as part of the lap swim.
Sauna and Steam Room
Enjoy a nice dry heat in the sauna or a tropical style heat in the steam room.
Parties
Birthdays are always special and fun! But it’s not always fun planning, cleaning and organizing activities, not to mention trying to feed everyone. Let our staff at the Aquatic Center help your child have a birthday party to remember. Warm water beach, 180’ water slide, winding river, the vortex, bubble pool, and water toys are all available at these times. All three packages include 60 minutes of party time in your own private party room or our new tropical cabana, up to 2 hours of swim time during open swim, and 3 free adult admissions. Two weeks advance reservation is needed. Sales tax is in included in all prices listed.
Please note that children under 7 and those who cannot swim 15 yds in deep water must be accompanied by an adult 17 or older who is in the same pool within arms reach. Please note our new Swim License policy.
