Camp Yeomalt

CAMP YEOMALT 900 Park Avenue N.E.
(Closest cross streets: Park Avenue and Yeomalt Pt. Dr.)

Camp Yeomalt is located on Park Avenue just east of the Yeomalt Point road. The park totals three acres and was acquired by the Park District in 1987 from the Boy Scouts of America.

First developed by the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1935, the camp originally consisted of a large log lodge that needs major repair and is not useable at this time. The Park District added a multi-purpose building with restroom and the property has a very nice woodland area with trail.
The multi-purpose building is used primarily for scout meetings and activities, other youth group activities, and Park District classes. The maximum capacity of the building is approximately 20 and although it is heavily used, it is available for occasional rentals. See Fee Schedule for rates.
