What's New?
SUMMER PROGRAMS AND ROAD IMPROVEMENTS AT HILLTOP
We are very excited to open summer programming at the new Hilltop facilities and work is continuing to prepare for next week's summer camp season. Beginning Monday June 10th Park Services crews will be performing road maintenance and improvements to make the access road safer for public use. For questions contact Dan Hamlin at 206-245-7385.
SCHEL CHELB PLAY AREA
Concept plans for play area proposed at Schel Chelb Park have been approved by the Park District Board for fundraising purposes. See concept plan here and play area sketch here. More information and opportunities for public input to follow.
HIDDEN COVE PARK

CONTRIBUTE TO A“FROG ON THE ROCK” AT ONE OF OUR LOCAL PARKS!
The frog program organized by the BI Downtown Association involves having 25 frogs (20” high x 41” long)--embellished by local artists--placed throughout the island at businesses and other prominent locations. Finished frogs will be debuted at the July 4 parade before going on location for the remainder of 2013 through September 2014, then auctioned off to raise money for BIDA. 50 Plus Trip: HOH Rainforest, NEAH Bay and the Makah Tribal Museum
Join the us on an adventure to the Olympic Peninsula. We'll stop at the Hoh Rainforest Visitor Center and have a choice of two hikes. Spend overnight in Forks then on to Neah Bay to visit the Makah Museum and Cultural Center. View the exhibits of 300-500 year old artifacts found at Ozette village & learn about this ancient culture. Take a hike to Cape Flattery.

If you’re connected to the local youth music scene, now’s the time to contact the teen center to book a ‘house concert’ or tell us you want to be involved in this year’s upcoming No More Schoolapalooza in June.
