Small Works Roster (SWR)

The Bainbridge Island Metro Park & Recreation District (BIMPRD) maintains a small public works roster following the statute RCW 39.04.155 which participating public agencies use to search for eligible contractors and solicit bids for small works services, including construction, building, renovation, remodeling, alteration, repair or improvement of real property, under $300,000 as an alternative to advertising for bids on each project.
The Small Works Roster is updated annually. Applicants on the SWR must reapply each year or notify us annually of continued interest and update any outdated information on a company letterhead.
Per RCW 39.04.010 the Bainbridge Island Metropolitan Park & Rec District pays prevailing wages on all Public Works Contracts. Public work is all work, construction, alteration, repair or improvement that is executed at the cost of the state or any other local public agency. This includes, but is not limited to, demolition, remodeling, renovation, road construction, building construction, ferry construction and utilities construction. Small Works Roster Application
The following steps and information should guide you through the SWR process:
1. Application Form submitted: Firms who are interested in being placed on our SWR should submit the application to:

2. Project Proposal: Each project will be open for solicitation of quotes as needed. Each project will contain specifications and a proposal format particular to that project. The forms submitted by the contractor will be made part of the contract.
3. Notice of Award: The District will provide a Notice of Award for each Small Works Roster project awarded. When applicable, the signed Notice of Award will be returned with copies of the contractor’s bond information and insurance certificate naming the Park District as additional insured (if these are not already on file) prior to issuing a Notice to Proceed.
