The mission of the Bainbridge Island Metropolitan Park & Recreation District is to build a healthy community through effective, sustainable stewardship of the District’s parks and open space, and through the development and delivery of innovative cultural and recreation opportunities.

Parkland Acquisition Committee


The Bainbridge Island Metropolitan Park & Recreation District appointed the Parkland Acquisition Committee (PAC) early in 2009 after Island voters approved the Park District's levy lid lift in November 2008.  The PAC is responsible for making recommendations to the BIMPRD Board of Commissioners about properties to acquire and develop for future parks with funding from the levy lid lift.
